The Auguries of Innocence
The Auguries of Innocence
The opening stanza from William Blake’s poem ‘The Auguries of Innocence’. It is assumed to have been written in the early years of the nineteenth century but was not published until 1863 in the companion volume to the biography of Blake by Alexander Gilchrist.
I’ve produced various different colourways of the image at different times.
